a) GENERAL
RULES
FORUM SITE, VENTRILO
AND DKP REGISTRATION
Once accepted you are required to register in both the guild Forum and DKP site. Keep normal names and if possible use the same name as your main toon name.
GUILD CHAT
BEHAVIOR
It's absolutelly forbidden racial, abusive, inflamatory,
political and/or religious talk in the guild chat. Those talking can
taken to a whisper channel. Our officers will act accordingly if someone break
these rules and can be banned from the guild without further notice. Just remember,
keep it fun and clean, and we will all have endless hours of fun!!
RANKS HIERARCHY
Our ranking system obeys a simple hierarchy of raiding attendance and
guild duties. It serves us to select raiding spots in order to protect our raids,
raiders and overall progression as a guild.
Ranking progression is evaluated and decided by the Class Officers, Officers
and the Ring Master according to your attendance.
1. Paraiba - Our joke rank. You will understand it in time... hehe.
2. Initiate - Our trial rank. You are
in a trial period and in probation. Your advancement depends on the approval
of your actions, behaviour, raiding responsibilities, skills and full accomplishment
and understanding of our rules by our Class Officers, they will evaluate your
progression and check if you match our criteria or if Circus is not the best
place for you.
3. Alt - Alt toons fall into this
category and should be treated as Friend ranked toons.
4. Friend - You
are not a raider, can't commit to it or due to any other constraints can't maintain
raiding attendance, but your presence and acts still says you are a great guildie
and/or a great friend wich status can change.
5. Raider Alt - This rank is not
for alts of members in the Raider rank or above, but a special rank to some
special toons designed to help us in not so common raid situations, for wich
we don't need an extra raider, but just a fast swap to get past that one challenge.
Ie: A prot pally for Morogrin murlocks fight. Those toons falls under this category
and are to be taken as Raiders.
6. Raider - Seasoned
members. They show raiding responsibility and understand the rules and needs
of our raids. Due to constraints tho they can't maintain more than 60% of raiding
attendance and so can't be counted as a steady spot. However they are still
raiders ready to raid everytime they can. Again great friends wich status can
change.
7. Core Raider - Veteran members.
Core raiders and 1st option when a spot is open. They have their gear always
shinning, chanted and gemed. Have 100% or nearly 100% raiding attendance. In
short a core member of our raiding force.
8. Class Officer - Are also veteran
members and are counted as Core Raiders. Class Officers will make sure every
member of the class they're leading is up to our raiding expectations. They
are the ones assisting 'em on proper speccing, on proper role applying and proper
gearing up. So, the Class Officers are the ones that will train the fellows
of the same class to be a Circus ready raider.
9. Officer - Are the founding
fathers and the political power of Circus. They are veteran members and also
counted as Core Raiders and main authorities to apply Circus' rules.
10. Ring Master - Ultimate power
in Circus.
TIME AWAY
All users that stays off line for more than 25 days will
be kicked out the guild. To avoid it leave a message telling if you are
going to be out, if you plan taking some time out the game, a vacation or anything.
Just let us know you won't be just a number. Keep in mind you may be demoted down to Friend rank.

LOOT RULES
POINT SYSTEM
The point system, also referred to as DKP, awards raid members for attending
raids, and gives a bonus to players who can attend on time and stay the course
of the raid. The points are spent on items that drop throughout the raid. Generally,
the person with the highest points that wants that item will be awarded the
item.
GAINING
POINTS
Points are gained based on the duration of the raid. There is also
bonus points awarded to those who can be in the raid 15 minutes before the official
start time, and also for those who are able to stay 'till the end of the raid.
The points will be added to your total and will be viewable on a DKP page. The
points awarded are as follows:
* 25 DKP for Being Early/On Time
* 5 DKP for the 1st hour
* 10 DKP for the 2nd hour
* 15
DKP for the 3rd hour
* 25 DKP for staying until the end of the official Raid time
= for a total of 80 DKP for a
full raid.
NOTE: Only 25-man raid instances awards DKP and only 25-man raid instances loots cost DKP. All 10-man content don't award DKP or have it's drops priced. The loot distribution on those places are a exclusivelly decision of the Raid Leader and most the time it's a common /roll.
SPENDING
POINTS
Purple items that drop throughout the course of the raid are given
point values based on the item's strenght and desirability. Attendees to the
raid may submit a tell to the loot master of the raid when he/she calls for
tells on an item. He/she will then find out who has the highest points that
is eligible for the item and award it to that person. The winner will spend
points based on the item's point value. Blue BoE items that drop will be sent
to the guild bank. Refer to bank rules for more detail on how to acquire those
items.
NOTE: Recipes/Schematics will be assigned to members with Officer rank previlegies (Game Master, Officers and Class Officers) that can learn it on the spot. If none of those are present, it will be opened to all the next rank of members and so forth and a priced normal drop. This will be done so we're sure it remains in possession of a member that will not leave the guild.
RESTRICTIONS
Some items may have protections on it and be given priority to a certain
class or subclass. Items such as a Nathrezim
Mindblade, or an Aldori Legacy
Defender fall under that category. If there is no interest from the players
in the priority class, then the item will be opened up to other classes. Players who have
enough points to pay for an item will get priority over those that don't.
BoE purple items can only be "claimed" by players with enough points
to pay for it. If no players can claim it, it will be banked until such a player
manifests interest on it.
STAND-BY
A raider that is not in the actual raid layout but are available to
come once/if needed ASAP, will be awarded DKP points as if he/she was raiding.
It's your responsibility tho notifying the Raid Leader of the given raid you
applied that you are on a stand-by position.
NOTE: By "Stand-by"
We (the officers and GM) mean, your Main Character will be at the door of the
instance (you can be playing an alt or logged off the game as long as you are
easily reached via Ventrilo). Being with your main doing PvP, BG, other instances
or other form of PvE will not be considered as "Stand-by".
DKP TAXES
To avoid the build up of enormous pools of DKP we wil be taxing the DKP every
1st Tuesday of every month by the total of 25%. This will affect everyone and
it will decrease the gaps between the leaders and tailgaters in the DKP pool.
Given the fact that drops are based on luck, it will prevent a member with terrible
luck and no DKP payment from getting ahead from everyone by a landslide.
NEGATIVE
DKP
If for any reason you find yourself at negative DKP you have two options to
get back at zero DKP. The 1st is donating the same ammount of negative DKP you
have as gold to the guild bank. The 2nd is farming. The list of needed mats
and how DKP they're worth are posted on our forums.
c)
RAIDING SPOTS
USING GROUP CALENDAR
Using GroupCalendar is extremelly easy. Once you download it
(always check www.curse.com for the last version) just set it to automatic and
wait 'till it fully syncs. Once you can see the events posted in the calendar
you can start applying for the raids. Remember to check it everyday to see if
you have or not been selected to a given raid you applied to.Raid events that
award DKP can only be schedulled by Raid Leaders, if
you are not a Raid Leader or if you have not been selected to lead a given raid
don't schedulle raid events. Events like Arena Matches,
Heroic Runs, Birthdates and 10-man content can be schedulled
and put in the calendar freely. You can find a small and easy tutorial on how
to use the add-on in the same .zip file in wich you got the add-on.On the "attendance"
tab of each event you can check the status of that current event. Who have been
selected, who's in stand-by position and who's not coming.
REGARDING
SPOT SELECTION
Depending on the Raid Leader objectives/challenges for a given raid,
layout will change from time-to-time. The Raid Leader is the main authority
in selecting raiding spots in order to bring in the most consistent group for
the given challenge he decided the raid to face. The
selection is his duty and decision, and he will base his choices with trust
and fairness based on a few factors only:
1 - Correct use of Group Calendar when applying.
2 - Raiding attendance, in other words Rank
Hierarchy.
3 - Raiding history and responsibility.
4 - Overall
progression, gear and experience; More advanced raids may required better geared
and experienced raiders.
REGARDING
GROUP CALENDAR AND PENALTIES
Group Calendar has been implemented a good while ago and we require members
to use it. If you can't come, go to Group Calendar (GC) and sign up telling us you are not coming. If you
are not sure you can make the time or even show up YOU ARE STILL REQUIRED
TO SIGN UP AND mark yourself for either present or absent.

3rd time: -100 DKP.
4th time: Demotion.
5th time: Ban.

2nd: No DKP Gain (you will still be required to raid if needed).
-C-
Refusing to raid:
Demotion.
-D-

-)
NOT Penalized:

A FEW MORE
Once in a raid remember to keep the vent clear, don't go AFK except when really needed (there's other people waiting for you), and IF you HAVE to, let the Raid Leader know about
it. We do
take timed breaks in course of the raid. Come repaired and with all the buffs/pots
required. HAVE FUN!!!
THAT'S ALL ABOUT IT!!! Be pontual, FOCUS ALL THE TIME and follow the leader's orders!!!
